3 tips to drive down FB + IG Ad Costs in 2023

It’s 2023, your ad costs don’t have to cost you an arm and a leg! When most people hear the word “ads”, their mind instantly goes to expensive marketing. However, it doesn’t have to be! In this blog, I am going to go over 

3 tips to drive down FB + IG Ad Costs in 2023

  1. Ditch basic and boring copy and creative. 

Believe it or not, basic copy can be driving down your click-through rate, and making it impossible for your ideal customers to find you. The more intriguing and detailed the copy is, the increased chances of your ad performing well. 

Long copy, and videos are great for ads as they drive up your CPM ("Cost per Mille" i.e. Cost per 1,000 impressions). Because long copy and videos are detailed, more people click on your ad to learn more. However, if the CPM skyrockets with long copy or a video ad, the ad might be too expensive, even with an improved CTR.

  1. Optimize the front end of your funnel to offset rising costs. 

 Unfortunately, there are some things that are out of control. In our daily lives we see rising costs in all areas, but we have no choice but to roll with the punches! This might mean adding in a tripwire on the backend of a free lead magnet, or incorporating a higher-dollar upsell into your SLO. (In other words, working with the rising costs - to your benefit - instead of against them!)

  1. Increase the lifetime value of a customer or client.

Now that you have a customer, you don’t want to lose them! By adding in more revenue-generating opportunities on the backend of your funnel, you’ll be able to increase the lifetime value of a customer. Have you heard the saying that the easiest people to sell to are people who have previously bought your product? Well it's true! So offset the higher customer acquisition costs by making your current customers another offer that will include their lifetime value to your business!

You can get mad, blame the platform, hate Mark Zuckerberg, etc., but we need to adapt to the market challenges that we are quite frequently faced with! It’s time to focus on influencing the things you can control. THIS is how empowered entrepreneurs continue to run profitable ads in 2023 and beyond.
